THIRU KURANGANILMUTTAM
KURANGANILMUTTAM is situated in the route of Kanchipuram to Vandavasi. When you go from Kanchipuram after crossing the River Palaru, you enter a village called Dhusi. From Dhusi on eastern side in a 2 KM distance you get the temple. From Kanchipuram the temple is about 8 KM towards south direction. Car can go up to the temple.

Vaali in the form of Monkey ( குரங்கு), Indiran in the form of squirrel (அணில்) and Yemen in the form of Crow (முட்டம்) worshiped Siva and got his blessings in this temple. Hence the name "Kuranganilmuttam " came for this temple.
This temple is built in an area of 25 Cents land facing west with two pragharams. In the South of the temple Kakkai Medu theertham is there. In the entrance, the sthalapuranam sculpture showing monkey, squirrel and crow worshiping Siva lingam is there.

The moolavar, the main deity is Suyambu lingam facing west is Valleeswarar. In the inside pragharam Ambal, Iraiyaar Valaiyammai shrine is there and it is facing the south. Then we can see Vinayakar, Murugan, Kasi Viswanathar, Visalakshi, Durgai, Sandigeeswarar, Bairavar, Thirumal, Brahman, Dakshinamurthy, Navagraham, Sabda Madha and Nalvar.
Karpagraham, Artha Mandapam and Maha Mandapam are beautiful and kept very clean.
Kuranganilmuttam surrounded by fertile lands and it is a very small village. Gnanasambandar in his thevera pathigham on this temple he had mentioned about the village asகொழு நீர் வயல் சூழ்ந்த குரங்கணில்முட்டம். We can imagine the natural beauty of this place.
